da luck: According to an exclusive report from The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to sign Krzysztof Piatek after it was revealed that Daniel Levy has set a £10m budget in their search for a new centre-forward.
What’s the word, then?
da 888casino: Tottenham’s search for a new striker continues but The Sun have come out with an exclusive update stating that their chairman will only fork out £10m to secure a new attacker.
With Harry Kane out with a long-term injury, Jose Mourinho is left without a proper striker to fill the Englishman’s void and Spurs have been trying to find their answer in the transfer market.
The big fat Tottenham quiz of 2019 – how much do you remember about the last year at Spurs?
And Milan’s Piatek is a player they’ve been looking at but, as The Sun note, Levy was only willing to pay £10m to land the forward while Rossoneri actually value him at three times that figure.
This update may still come as a blessing in disguise for the Italians.
Verdict
With the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it’s pretty safe to say that Piatek’s status at the club could be under immediate threat and it’s no surprise that he’s been linked with an exit.
Even though he’s been far from his best in the ongoing 2019/20 campaign, scoring just five goals and adding one assist on the side, this could still turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Milan.
Ibrahimovic is a massive name to have on your teamsheet but he’s well past his best and far from a long-term solution.
Piatek, on the other hand, just might be – if they put some trust and faith into him.
We still don’t know whether the fact that Spurs are backing down means the striker is definitely staying but if so, Milan should be rather pleased.
