da gbg bet: Manchester United have made contact with Gareth Bale’s agent regarding a summer move from Real Madrid, according to Don Balon.
What’s the story?
da betway: It is not the first time that Bale has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, and it will certainly not be the last.
United manager Jose Mourinho has been open about his admiration for the Wales international, but up until now, there has been no movement from the player’s part.
Ever since he made the £85m move to the Bernabeu from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, Bale has been regularly tipped for a return to the Premier League.
Spanish publication Don Balon reports that the Red Devils have spoken to the attacker’s representation regarding a potential transfer.
It is believed that United’s ongoing pursuit of Bale has left a sour taste in the mouth of Cristiano Ronaldo, who he himself has been regularly linked with a return to Old Trafford.
How much of this should we believe?
There is no denying that Mourinho is a big fan of the Euro 2016 semi-finalist, but whether or not a move would ever happen remains to be seen.
Bale has not given any indication that he wants to pack up and leave Spain, but his injury problems could be an issue for both United and Madrid.
The 28-year-old has made just nine starts in all competitions due to calf and hamstring injuries.
From Real’s point of view, they may get to a point where cashing in is favourable, while United could worry about how much game time they will get out of Bale.
