da betano casino: What’s the word?
Klopp is predicting a quiet transfer window next month. Well, with regards to outgoings at least.
Daniel Sturridge is one first-team player who has been linked with a move away from Anfield, in particular a switch to fellow Premier League club West Ham United.
The striker has struggled to cement a regular spot in Klopp’s team having started just four top-flight fixtures, but the manager has no intention of letting the England international, or any of the squad, depart.
In Friday’s press conference, the German coach told reporters:
“The funny thing is that you and your colleagues create stories which are not stories and then you ask me about a story which is not a story!
“What can I say about this? There’s absolutely no idea or no thought to sell any player of the first-team squad actually. I don’t think it would make sense to.
“But I am prepared for January, for all the things you could ask in January. It will be funny, I’m sure!”
Do Liverpool need to recruit new faces?
At the moment, the Reds’ squad looks well equipped to cope with the demands of the Premier League as they have more strength in depth than last season.
The slight issue that Klopp has with the hectic festive schedule coming up is that he is missing a key player in Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian attacker will be on the sidelines for around five weeks with an ankle injury, and considering that he has been an influential member of the team, it could potentially hit them hard.
Klopp is known for shaping his teams as a unit and bringing in a big name halfway through the campaign could disrupt what the manager has built.
If Liverpool do any business this winter, it is unlikely to be anything that will significantly change the first team.
