da gbg bet: Rangers striker, and former Celtic player, Kenny Miller believes that the Gers will need to make “a big step up” when they face their Old Firm rivals at the weekend.
da roleta: Speaking to the Glasgow Evening Times, the 36-year-old, who has had three spells at Rangers and one with Celtic back in 2006/07 season, claimed that, although Rangers have the ability to beat anyone on their day, they will need to find another level to beat the Hoops to reach the Scottish Cup final:
“We know we can beat anyone if we turn up and do what we do. Celtic will be a big step up because they are top of the league and probably going to win it – and that makes them the best team in the country. We play a level below so it’s hard to judge. They play a higher level of opposition every week and that’s not disrespectful. It’s just a fact. We are going to have to make a step up – but we are capable of doing that.”
Rangers have already sealed promotion back to the Scottish Premiership, and beat Peterhead 4-0 in the Petrofac Training Scottish Challenge Cup final in their last match.
Now the focus has switched to the Old Firm clash, Miller believes his side are well prepared:
“We are as ready as we can be. We always said we would start looking forward to the game once the Petrofac Cup Final was over. We said that when the draw was made. It’s upon us now and the preparations start. We are back Tuesday morning and looking ahead to see how we can hurt them – and how they could possibly hurt us and hopefully nullify that.”
Celtic meanwhile are expected to have defender Erik Sviatchenko back for the match after he missed the 2-1 win against Motherwell last time out with a thigh injury.
