Spurs launched an ambitious bid to sign Gibbs-White last week, triggering his £60 million ($81m) release clause. However, with Gibbs-White returning to training, Forest have made a legal complaint about the north London club's 'illegal approach', according to The Sun's Tom Barclay.

Forest have been riled by Spurs' move, with reporting suggesting that a confidentiality clause was breached. It remains unclear, however, if Forest can actually block the deal, or if they will merely delay it.
