da pinnacle: West Ham rescued a point away to Huddersfield thanks to a late equaliser from Felipe Anderson.
da bwin: The Hammers fell behind after just six minutes and were fortunate to stay in the game with the hosts hitting both the post and the crossbar. Huddersfield had a massive shout for a penalty turned down by the referee allowing Anderson to net 15 minutes from time to secure a vital point. The result leaves West Ham firmly in mid-table after missing the chance to achieve back-to-back wins in the Premier League.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side have been far too inconsistent after cruising to victory against Burnley last week; the Hammers struggled massively against the relegation battlers. The Chilean will be tempted to dip back into the transfer market in January after losing so many players to injury this season. Andriy Yarmolenko and Manuel Lanzini are both set for spells on the sideline and Pellegrini will want to add creativity back into the team in the New Year.
One man he should be keeping tabs on is Blackburn Rovers hotshot – Bradley Dack. Valued at just £4.5m by Transfermarkt, the 24-year-old has been a crucial player for his side since joining from Gillingham last summer. Dack was extremely influential in securing a return to the Championship and was named League One Player of the Year after scoring 18 league goals.
Dack’s excellent form has continued in the higher division with nine goals and five assists in all competitions so far this season. The Englishman would add energy, creativity and quality in the West Ham engine room which the Hammers have sorely lacked at times under Pellegrini. His excellent link-up play would help Marko Arnautovic score even more goals in the West Ham attack and could finally bring the best out of Javier Hernandez.
His arrival in January could be the catalyst for West Ham climbing the table in 2019.
