So here are FIVE players Klopp should target this summer…
Šime Vrsaljko
Vrsalkjo has been linked to several Premier League clubs this summer.
He has experience playing multiple positions but sticks to the left side for Croatia. Liverpool need another promising defender opposite Nathaniel Clyne.
Cesar Azpilicueta
The Chelsea star can do just about everything a manager wants out of a defender. He is versatile, disciplined defensively and holds shape.
Whether Conte would allow the Spaniard to leave Chelsea this summer is unclear, but Klopp would be picking up a quality defender if he can bring him to Anfield.
Jiří Skalák
One quality that Klopp needs in his team is physicality.
Czech midfielder Skalak personifies toughness and physicality, and he is also a fantastic deliverer of set pieces.
Mario Mandžukić
Mandžukić won a Serie A title last season with Juventus, adding to his long list of accomplishments.
At 30-years-old, the Croatian striker still has plenty of goals left in him.
Liverpool need another goal-scorer on the frontline with Daniel Sturridge, and Mandžukić’s relentless, physically-imposing mentality is the perfect complement.
Sergio Rico
The 22-year-old keeper is third in Spain’s goalkeeping ranks, but he will occupy the sticks after David Da Gea’s time expires.
Simon Mignolet disappointed majorly last season and struggled with consistency. At the very least, Klopp needs another ‘keeper to give Mignolet competition.
