On February 25th 2018, Aaron Wan-Bissaka made his debut for Crystal Palace against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
The 20-year-old had plenty of potential and was one of the rising stars in the club’s academy ranks, and he was provided with the perfect opportunity to showcase his talents against Spurs at Selhurst Park.
Indeed, a lot of supporters knew that their team had a player that has the potential to become one of the best defenders in the Premier League, as they stated their delight on Twitter.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka put in a Man of the Match performance on his debut against Tottenham Hotspur as he kept half of the opposition’s players in his pocket, with a Harry Kane goal gifting Spurs all three points.
Crystal Palace have produced a number of academy graduates that have gone on to achieve big things, with the likes of Gareth Southgate, Wilfried Zaha, Victor Moses and Nathaniel Clyne all enjoying time at Selhurst Park.
Despite playing in his first season in the first-team, Wan-Bissaka featured in a handful of games towards the end of the 2017-18 season and was quickly becoming one of the rising stars in English football.
The full-back was rewarded for all of his hard work as he was handed a new deal at the club in April, and later went on to win the Young Player of the Year award.
And, things have gotten even better for the youngster since then as he has established himself as one of the standout performers for Palace this season, with a regular starting place nailed down.
Indeed, with the youngster still coming on leaps and bounds and really excelling under the guidance of Roy Hodgson, it seems supporters were right to rave about his Premier League debut and potential.
