da blaze casino: As reported by Portuguese outlet O Jogo, Manchester United are tracking the progress of Benfica’s star winger Andrija Zivkovic.
What’s the story?
da heads bet: It’s no secret that Jose Mourinho is looking for a left winger after his reported pursuit of Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic. However, with Perisic committing his future to the Italian giants then Manchester United will need to look elsewhere to fill that position.
O Jogo report that one man Mourinho is looking at is Andrija Zivkovic, a Serbian winger who can play on both the left and right wings.
The outlet say the Red Devils boss has had scouts at every Benfica match this season and it’s Zivkovic’s name that is ringing out as the most impressive in a key area of the pitch for United.
What’s his pedigree?
Zivkovic hasn’t been in Portugal for too long, making just 27 appearances for Benfica since moving from Partizan Belgrade. However, he’s certainly making quite an impression.
In that small number of matches he’s already created 12 assists, including one this week against CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League.
With 24 goals and 13 assists for Partizan in his homeland before his big move, it’s clear he has a potential be an elite talent, he is still just 21 years of age after all.
He may not be a household name around Europe quite yet but a move to Manchester United could be the making of him, especially if he can recreate the form he’s shown for the two clubs he’s played for so far.
