da pinup bet: Transfer sagas are horrible aren’t they?
da bet esporte: Every few hours there seems to be an update that gets your hopes up, only for them to be destroyed when the next tidbit of news comes out.
Che Adams to Leeds has been exactly like that and the deal seems to have been on and off more times than a light switch.
One day agents are telling Football Insider that a deal is likely, and the next Ralph Hasenhuttl is saying he doesn’t want him to leave.
Fortunately, Phil Hay has provided us with a percentage chance of the deal happening. Unfortunately, it leaves more questions than answers.
What’s been said then?
The journalist wrote quite a lengthy piece for The Athletic detailing exactly where the Whites’ interest in Che Adams stands at the moment.

To cut a long story short, Leeds want him, the Saints’ board want a loan with an obligation to buy for at least £10m, the Whites are happy with that, but Ralph Hasenhuttl isn’t.
As you can see, it’s quite a tricky one, so a fan looked for a bit of a simpler explanation from Hay as he asked for a percentage chance that Adams would sign, to which Hay replied:
“I’ll go 53.67%, dependent on factors and variables.”
Too close to call
It’s over 50 per cent meaning that it’s more likely to happen than not, but it’s seemingly on a knife-edge as to whether or not this move can get done.
53.67% is a bit specific from Hay, and potentially a little tongue-in-cheek, but it still goes to show that this deal could go either way.
It really all depends on whether or not Ralph Hasenhuttl has the final say on Adams’ future and if he can be convinced to change his mind about needing him in the squad. When it comes to the variables that the journalist mentions, this appears to be the biggest sticking point of all.
Whether this one happens or not remains to be seen, but the two parties are keeping everyone guessing at the moment.
In other news, Andrea Radrizzani could be about to risk Leeds’ future with one financial gamble.
