da premier bet: Annoyingly we now have to wait over a week for our next Premier League fix with both the League Cup and FA Cup filling the coming seven days before a midweek bout of joy comes along.
da luck: So, it was fitting that the division we all love so dearly left us with a parting treat in the shape of some huge talking points.

We’ll start in chronological order with Liverpool slipping up at home to Swansea, who were bottom of the table before their 2-3 win at Anfield. The Reds’ old Achilles heel of being unable to defend was on show again as the Swans took a two-goal lead before netting a winner through Gylfi Sigurdsson even though Jurgen Klopp’s men had hauled themselves level with a Roberto Firmino brace. In some ways it was eerily similar to performances during the latter days of Brendan Rodgers…
Later on Saturday, Manchester City and Spurs played out the game of the weekend, which ended 2-2. There were talking points aplenty, but it was Claudio Bravo bagging the headlines for all the wrong reasons once again as he once again gave up his clean sheet with alarming ease. At least Gabriel Jesus looked good when he came on, Pep!
On the subject of the same old story, Chelsea got another win as they beat Hull on Sunday, albeit they were made to work for the three points by Marco Silva’s much-improved Tigers. That man Diego Costa bagged the all-important opener in the 2-0 victory and his celebration seemed to be one designed to hit out at all of the stories about him recently.
Elsewhere, Arsene Wenger is facing a touchline ban after a scuffle with the officials as his side nabbed a dramatic late win over Burnley, while a certain Wayne Rooney became Manchester United’s all-time record goalscorer.
As always, we have @RyanJayBailey in the house to give his view…
